Most notable, off the bat, is the lack of 106-120 pounders and a heavyweight. While that obviously hurts in the dual meets, DC does have a hard working young group that showed some nice potential in 2015 and will all be looking to take another step forward in 2016.
The lineup gets a nice boost with the arrival of Conor Panzarella, who had a strong 17-win freshman season for TR South. He joins another sophomore coming off a nice rookie campaign in Cristiaan Dailey, a 14-match winner, to give the Griffins a nice 1-2 combo at 132-138. Returning starters Ryan Acosta, a junior, and another sophomore Shane Harrigfield provide further depth in this lower half that should also feature a couple of freshmen in Tommy Glawson and Daniel Post.
There's a little less experience up top, but DC does return a pair of 13 match winners in senior Alex Palacio and sophomore Salvatore DiSalvo. DiSalvo should benefit from last year's experience of a frosh wrestling against mostly upperclassmen, and could be a 20+ winner.
Donovan has always been in a tricky spot. They're seen as having too large an enrollment to be in B-Central, but are around 200 kids shy of the next smallest school in B-South. As a result, they usually have a tough time with the Group 3's and 4's on the Divisional schedule, but are able to pick up their wins and be competitive against the programs their size. There are some solid individuals here though this season, so they should benefit from squaring off against the bigger programs on the schedule like Pt. Boro, Jackson Liberty, Central, Manchester, etc. While it may not translate into dual wins, it should have this group ready for the Districts where there are a few guys here capable of wrestling their way onto the podium and into the Region Tournament.

Most notable, off the bat, is the lack of 106-120 pounders and a heavyweight. While that obviously hurts in the dual meets, DC does have a hard working young group that showed some nice potential in 2015 and will all be looking to take another step forward in 2016.
The lineup gets a nice boost with the arrival of Conor Panzarella, who had a strong 17-win freshman season for TR South. He joins another sophomore coming off a nice rookie campaign in Cristiaan Dailey, a 14-match winner, to give the Griffins a nice 1-2 combo at 132-138. Returning starters Ryan Acosta, a junior, and another sophomore Shane Harrigfield provide further depth in this lower half that should also feature a couple of freshmen in Tommy Glawson and Daniel Post.
There's a little less experience up top, but DC does return a pair of 13 match winners in senior Alex Palacio and sophomore Salvatore DiSalvo. DiSalvo should benefit from last year's experience of a frosh wrestling against mostly upperclassmen, and could be a 20+ winner.
Donovan has always been in a tricky spot. They're seen as having too large an enrollment to be in B-Central, but are around 200 kids shy of the next smallest school in B-South. As a result, they usually have a tough time with the Group 3's and 4's on the Divisional schedule, but are able to pick up their wins and be competitive against the programs their size. There are some solid individuals here though this season, so they should benefit from squaring off against the bigger programs on the schedule like Pt. Boro, Jackson Liberty, Central, Manchester, etc. While it may not translate into dual wins, it should have this group ready for the Districts where there are a few guys here capable of wrestling their way onto the podium and into the Region Tournament.
